ABOUT BALTIC SEA AMBER

Baltic Amber, aka "Gold of the Sea" or "solidified sunlight," is one of the world's oldest and most envied treasures. It is a fossilized tree resin formed by light and life, preserved by time, and washed up on the shores of the Baltic Sea. It is warm to the touch and light to wear. Baltic Amber is revered for its high concentration of succinic acid. Each bead is a beautiful and unique piece of history - a fossil from an ancient forest!

Sizing is important! Never buy your child a "one size fits all" necklace. To find the most appropriate length for your child, we recommend measuring using a piece of string. You should be able to put two fingers between your child's neck and the necklace and the child should not be able to reach the necklace to his/her mouth. Our jewelry is made for wearing, never for chewing!

SAFETY

Our jewelry has been lab-tested for safety in a USA CPSIA-approved lab and is approved for children age 0+. Our children's jewelry is individually hand-knotted between each bead so that if the necklace were to break, only one bead would be released and not the entire strand. Our necklaces are designed to break away at 10lbs of pressure -- If you (or your child) tug on the necklace, it will snap at the clasp. Our necklaces are available with plastic screw clasps (unless a pop clasp is noted), each with a safety release built in.

Warning: Necklaces contain small parts. Children must be supervised at all times while wearing jewelry.

Wear your Baltic Amber necklace next to the skin, under clothing. For children, remove jewelry during nap and sleep times. Avoid chlorine, detergents and cleansers. To care for your Baltic Amber, clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.

LOVE THESE NECKLACES

This is probably like our 3rd or 4th one and we love these amber necklaces. My son loves his, we got the raw multi colored one this time. I love it and so does may little one!

No drool!

If you are tired of your baby drooling all over everything near their mouths, then buy one of these necklaces and put it on your baby. When we first got an amber necklace, we realized there was no more drool. We thought it might have been a fluke, so we took it off our son, and within a few hours, he was drooling everywhere. We put it back on him, and no drool! With our daughter, we bought one before teething ever started, and she has never drooled because of teething. We have had to use Tylenol in conjunction with the necklace when teething gets really bad, but getting teeth is easier on baby (and mom!) when they are wearing one of these necklaces.

I am using these with my #3 and #4. I saw an immediate improvement in #3 when I started it on him. (He has been wearing his for almost 2 years now.) It doesn't seem to help as much with #4 but she doesn't tolerate pain very well either-and she deals with the pain of thrush alot, too. (She is almost 6 months old, and I just bought this for her.) I know some who swear by it. I think it helps. And if nothing else, it looks super cute on both my son and daughter, and I think it's worth a shot to try a natural remedy. I have never had a problem with the clasp or my children breaking it--and my 2 year old holds and rubs it sometimes for security.
